Slaidburn provides an excellent start and finish point for many excellent walks and strolls in the beautiful Hodder Valley. Situated next to the car-park on the village green, the Riverbank Tearooms provides meals, sandwiches, drinks etc. and is a wonderful place to stop and rest for a while. We are happy to provide packed lunches or fill your thermos flasks for you. Just ask at the counter or ring before-hand. If your walk means you are going to arrive in the village after our usual closing time of 5pm please let us know and we can make arrangements to stay open for your party. Why not ring us to book a meal for your group. Finally, here is an idea for a new walk. Why not take a bus from Slaidburn (the bus stop is on the conveniently situated on the car park) to a neighbouring village. You can walk back to Slaidburn on a variety of footpaths through the fields and then round the day off with a well deserved rest and a meal at the Riverbank Tearooms. We now have maps for a series of 5 short walks. These can be hired in return for a small donation to a local charity. Ask at the counter for details. For more information about local buses ring Clitheroe Interchange on (01200) 429832.
