Riverbank Tea Rooms is well known as a stop-off point on the Lands End - John O'Groats Run. Another long distance cycle route which passes through the village is the Regional Route 90 - Lancashire Cycleway see above. Finally, here is an idea for a new walk. Why not take a bus from Slaidburn (the bus stop is conveniently situated on the car park) to a neighbouring village. You can walk back to Slaidburn on a variety of footpaths through the fields and then round the day off with a well deserved rest and a meal. We now have maps for a series of 5 short walks.
